Many of the readings for this session focus on racism as a human rights concern. Reflect upon Carol Anderson’s thesis about why the United States has been a reluctant participant in international human rights
processes, as well as other readings for this session. What difference might it make to address racism not only as a civil rights matter but also a human rights concern in the United States (and other parts of the world) today?
