Although there are a lot of digestive problems that are common i’m going to be focusing on Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Gerd is when acid from your stomach go back into your esophagus the tube connecting your stomach and mouth. This can cause irritation to your esophagus, another symptom is a burning sensation in your chest also known as heartburn. Have you ever eaten food and you feel something coming back up and it tastes sour that can also occur with this. This can be treated many different ways such as medication, lifestyle changes, and last resort surgery. Some lifestyle factors that contribute to this is smoking, eating fatty foods, drinking alcohol, drinking caffeine, and laying down right after you ate can cause gerd. So avoid laying down right after you eat walk a little, eating a healthier foods, don’t rush eating your food, take your time, drinking alcohol accordingly, and try to quit smoking. And usually having your head of bed up after eating helps if you want to lay down.

I chose to discuss Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Irritable Bowel Syndrome, also referred to as IBS, is basically a digestive disease associated with your bowel movements. IBS can cause many different symptoms including abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea. You may have all symptoms or just one depending on the type of IBS you have. IBS can be treated with medications, probiotics, mental therapy, and adjustments to your diets. Some doctors recommend eating fiber rich foods and avoid eating gluten. From what I read in the article, nutrition and/or lifestyle factors can contribute to this digestive problem. IBS can sometimes be managed with diet alone. If people are very careful with what they consume and avoid the type of foods that irritate their digestive system, they may not even need medications to control their symptoms. There is a diet called low FODMAP diet which consists of trying to reduce or avoid foods that are rich in carbohydrates which make it hard to digest. Some doctors recommend people suffering from IBS to try it.

The article that I linked has to do with gas digestion some of the ways that this can be treated are eating and drinking slowly than you do taking your time as you eat your foods, avoid carbonated drinks and beer they release carbon dioxide also eat smaller proportions. There’s pills that you can take like Antacids, probiotics, lactase, and Beano. Gas is usually resulted from foods that you consume like beans , vegetables like broccoli that have carbs in them fruits, dairy products, whole grain foods, soft drinks and fruits drinks so you you don’t want have had especially painful gas digestion I would learn more about it and find more ways to get rid of it some things work faster than others and also even get prescriptions from doctors if you don’t want to do that the over the counter pills work also with you don’t want to see a doctor.
