{"id":711,"date":"2017-06-21T09:05:39","date_gmt":"2017-06-21T09:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/typedessays.com\/social-issues-and-the-workplace\/"},"modified":"2017-06-21T09:05:39","modified_gmt":"2017-06-21T09:05:39","slug":"social-issues-and-the-workplace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benedictsol.com\/blogs\/social-issues-and-the-workplace\/","title":{"rendered":"Social issues and the workplace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the Final Paper, you will choose a social issue affecting the workplace and working environment, and develop a paper that thoroughly discusses the issue from both the workplace and societal viewpoints.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to include the positive and negative aspects of the issue in relation to the workplace, society, and workers, especially the unique worker groups who may be most affected (e.g., women, immigrants, LGBTQ citizens, the working or middle classes, and racial, ethnic or cultural groups).<\/p>\n<p>Analyze how the issue could be positively supported using various social controls (e.g., laws, organizational policies\/practices, training\/education, government or corporate involvement, or social change) and recommend interventions in these areas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, discuss the potential social or economic benefits which may result if your recommendations were implemented.<\/p>\n<p>Choose <strong>one<\/strong> of the following social issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The role of women in leadership<\/li>\n<li>Faith-based decision making in business (hiring and customers served)<\/li>\n<li>Sexual harassment<\/li>\n<li>Executive versus worker compensation disparity<\/li>\n<li>The gender wage gap<\/li>\n<li>Whistleblowing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The paper must be <strong>eight pages<\/strong> in length (excluding the title and reference pages) and formatted according to APA style.<\/p>\n<p>You must use at least <strong>six<\/strong> scholarly sources.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cite your sources in text and on the reference page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Writing the Final Paper<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Final Paper:<\/p>\n<p>1\u00a0 Must be eight double-spaced pages in length (excluding title and reference pages), and formatted according to APA style.<\/p>\n<p>2\u00a0 Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.<\/p>\n<p>3\u00a0 Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.<\/p>\n<p>4\u00a0 Must end with a <strong>conclusion <\/strong>that reaffirms your thesis.<\/p>\n<p>5\u00a0 Must use at least <strong>six<\/strong> scholarly sources.<\/p>\n<p>6\u00a0 Must document all sources in <strong>APA style and in-text citations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7\u00a0 Must use <strong>Level 1 headings<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the Final Paper, you will choose a social issue affecting the workplace and working environment, and develop a paper that thoroughly discusses the issue from both the workplace and societal viewpoints.
