\nJournal Article Assignment.<\/p>\n
Each student will select one empirically researched psychology article published in any professional psychology journal (peer reviewed).
\nEmpirical Research is research that is based on experimentation or observation, i.e. evidence. Such research is often conducted to answer a specific question or to test a hypothesis.
\nEach student will write 2 full pages of text where you discuss the subject matter of the article and discuss its contributions to a specific area.<\/p>\n
\nThe first page should consist of:<\/p>\n
\nTopic – What did the research study?
\nRationale – Why did they choose this area?
\nHypothesis or Research Question – What was the stated hypothesis or Research Question
\nMethodology – How did they conduct the study?
\nFindings – What were the results – hypothesis supported? Research question answered?<\/p>\n
\nThe second page should consist of:<\/p>\n
\nImplications – What relevance does the study have for the field of Psychology?
\nOpinions – discuss your thoughts\/opinions regarding the study?
