Using the generous support from the Sheng Yen Educational Foundation, the middle for Buddhist Studies at UC Berkeley is very happy to invite applications for any two-year postdoctoral research-teaching fellowship. The word from the appointment is This summer 1, 2017 to June 30, 2019.<\/p>\n

The Fellowship is supposed to promote the educational careers of latest Ph.D.\u2019s whose section of scientific studies are Chinese Buddhism the Fellowship will give them some time and funding to pursue their research combined with the chance to achieve teaching experience. Guys are anticipated to educate one course each year underneath the auspices from the Group in Buddhist Studies. Additionally, Guys can give an open lecture on their own research included in the Center for Buddhist Studies Colloquium Series, and they\u2019re expected to get familiar with regular Center for Buddhist Studies occasions and workshops.   3. An individual statement of a maximum of 2000 words outlining previous research (including dissertation), the study you will undertake throughout the term from the fellowship, future professional goals, in addition to every other information considered highly relevant to the applying<\/li>\n
  4. A writing sample<\/li>\n
  5. A 2- to four-page statement training interests, together with two brief course proposals (with optional syllabi) of courses they offer educate for that Group in Buddhist Studies (Note: UC Berkeley courses normally meet as many as 3 or 4 hrs each week within a 14-week semester)<\/li>\n
  6. Three recommendations, to become sent from the letter authors towards the address below<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
