NPD project paper
\nStudents will select an emerging or proposed product\/service of their choosing and develop a report using the sections below. The report will provide a full overview on how the product\/service should be developed and commercialized. Students will turn in a full report and should be approximately 10-15 pages and include the following:<\/p>\n
1. Description of the new product or service
\n2. Outline of the industry, company, and target market
\n3. Product Innovation Charter (PIC)
\n4. SWOT analysis
\n5. Perceptual map, include competitors
\n6. Concept testing
\n7. Forecasting for 3-5 years (e.g. ATAR model, diffusion curve)
\n8. Product use testing: alpha, beta, and\/or gamma
\n9. Entry strategy and market testing
