Overview:In this project, you will conducting a rhetorical analysis of a film of your choosing. In your writing, you will be presenting a reading of the film, particularly focusing on the persuasive aspects of the film and how it can be read as making rhetorical arguments about some significant social issue. You will also be collecting five artifacts related to the film or to the particular social issues that the film engages, and explicitly citing at least two of these artifacts in your writing. Project Components: (1500 words, minimum length)In writing about the film as a public argument, you must draw on our readings about the nature of rhetoric and how the persuasive aims of particular texts (including film) can be examined and explored. In addition to the film and two artifacts, you must cite at least two writers we have read on the theory and practice of rhetoric. How can key rhetorical concepts be explored, tested or otherwise applied to the film?
