\nUsing materials drawn from the previous assignment, students will work as a team with their dialogue classmates to conduct research based on the criteria established, and develop a comprehensive International Business plan proposal with cost analysis. Write an APA paper with a PowerPoint presentation outlining the main points. The presentation would be something that you would introduce to board members to influence them. The presentation would be between 4-10 slides. The paper should include a minimum of 12 and\/or scholarly references from our dialogue research databases or from the peer-reviewed\/scholar research as our syllabus requires for the class. Including everything, the entire Final Project should consist of 2500-3600 words. Quality and answering the outline is a priority. The team project Peer Evaluation Form with directions is attached in two formats, pdf and MS Word. For the project, the Evaluation criteria would include the following 10 areas:<\/p>\n
How will the mission and vision of the business compliment the expansion?
\nWill this be a new department or division of existing market; or a new subsidiary?
\nCompany strengths, in terms of finances, project management, etc.
\nMarket size and growth trends
\nEntering a market into which owners have a level of comfort
\nNeeds in this market \u2013 alignment with objectives?
\nAvailability of incentives for business development
\nMarket conditions
\nCustomer demand
\nGrowth in affiliated industries
\nAvailable labor
\nLocal competitive environment
\nOther similar businesses\/projects in development
\nPotential profit margins (is this attainable?)
\nGeneral business climate and specific climate for this industry
\nAvailability of qualified consultants and agents
\nThreats from inflation, foreign competitors, or privatization
\nAvailability of channel partners (brokers, marketing tools, etc.)
\nLegal and compliance barriers
\nLaws for private ownership
\nMarket entry barriers
\nOther administrative regulations and \u201cred tape\u201d
\nLocation in terms of culture, climate, geography and topography
\nThe host country\u2019s ability and means to support business development
\nLogistics: rail, ports, roadways?
\nHow these topographical factors would affect opportunities for exchange?
\nFinancial and economic forces
\nGovernment stability
\nTaxation and interest rates
\nPricing Challenges
\nChallenges of foreign currency
\nFinancing the projects
\nAvailability of funding and sources
\nPartnership opportunities or available local agents
\nOpen to Acquisition \/ Joint Ventures
\nSourcing products and resources from local suppliers
\nIntangibles OR Showstoppers \u2013factors that might sway a marginal opportunity into a great one; or possibly something that \u201clooks great on paper\u201d but has too much risk:
\nTiming of development \u2013 how quickly will they look to turn a profit after initial site identification?
\nEstimated costs of project: provide some idea of what it will cost to get started
\nOther intangibles \u2013 government instability; or the Olympics to be held here; etc.
\nFinally \u2013 Cost of entry, plan for expansion, 2-3 yr objectives for when venture will be cash-positive
