The assignment requires comparative analysis of focus group interviews conducted with precariously employed, racialized workers who live in a working class, immigrant neighbourhood in the City of Toronto. One focus group was with Canadian Born people of colour, the majority of whom self-identified as Black. A second interview was with South Asian immigrants, most recently arrived professionals, who spoke Hindi or Urdu. The transcript data is messy and that is part of the challenge.<\/p>\n
