Research Project<\/p>\n
Focus of the Research Project<\/p>\n
The final version of your Research Project should be 10 to 12 double-spaced pages (not including the title page, reference page, tables, appendices, etc.). The paper will be an original business research project that tests a hypothesis of your choice. The research can relate to your place of current\/previous employment or other contexts of interest. Sample topics could include, but are not limited to:
\nManufacturing quality\/cost improvement
\nService quality improvement
\nSystems design
\nAccounts receivable\/billing\/accounts receivable aging
\nMarketing\/advertising Issues
\nSales of goods
\nInvestments
\nProduct safety
\nWorkplace safety
\nLabor pools
\nHuman resources matters of broad concern
\nPopulation studies
\nFor your Research Project, you will be combining all parts that you have worked on from Weeks One through Five. Your paper should be formatted as follows:
\nPart 1: Introduction
\nBackground information about your research project (Week One)
\nDescribe the management dilemma (Week One)
\nEthical Concerns (Week Two)
\nDevelop and explain your hypothesis (Week One)
\nPart 2: Literature review
\nBackground research on at least three scholarly sources (Week One)
\nPart 3: Data
\nSecondary data (Week Three)
\nMeasurement benchmark and scales (Week Three)
\nPlans for using observations, focus groups, interviews, or surveys (Week Four)
\nPlans for analyzing data (Week Five)
\nPlans for how to analyze results (Week Five)
\nPart 4: Results
\nSummarize and display the results of your research. Provide charts, graphs, tables, and so forth, as they might apply to your research.
\nState whether you reject or fail to reject the null hypothesis based on your study; explain.
\nPart 5: Conclusion
\nSummarize the entire study and reflect on it
\nConsider the \u201ctake-home\u201d message that management and other decision makers can use from this research to make informed business decisions.
\nInclude the strengths and weaknesses of the study and suggestions for future research.
\nPart 6: References
\nInclude a separate references page and cite all references within the text of the paper.
\nPart 7: Appendix
\nIf applicable
\nWriting the Research Project<\/p>\n
The Research Project
\nMust be 10 to 12 double-spaced pages in length (not including the title page, reference page, tables, appendices, etc.) and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
\nMust include a separate title page with the following:
\nTitle of paper
\nStudent\u2019s name
\nCourse name and number
\nInstructor\u2019s name
\nDate submitted
\nMust begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
\nMust address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
\nMust end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
\nMust use at least three scholarly sources from the Ashford University Library, in addition to the text.
\nMust document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
\nMust include a separate reference page that is formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
