\nVision: We envision a future where adults age 65 and older have support, resources and services to increase awareness on depression and suicidal thoughts.
\nMission:The mission of \u201cLife goes on\u201d is to reduce rates of suicide among older adults through awareness, education and community based interventions.<\/p>\n
Goals:
\nGoal 1- Promote mental resilience and connectedness between the older adults, family, friends and guardians.
\nObjective 1- Provide one forum quarterly to address the needs, services and education of older adult to families, friends, guardians and clients.
\nObjective 2- Hold a weekly support group for the clients to increase social skills, awareness and prevention.
\nGoal 2-Improve identification of precursors to suicide among older adults.
\nObjective 1- Provide trainings twice a year to recognize and respond to suicidal risks among older adults.
\nObjective 2-Offer weekly wellness checks to clients.
\nGoal 3- Advocate for administrative and policy measures to assist with the care of older adults.
\nObjective 1- Network annually with California authorities to create awareness on mental health among older adults through public policy forums in the capital.
\nObjective 2-During National Suicide prevention week which is surrounded by World National Suicide Prevention day LGO would host a candlelight vigil to honor the lives of those who were effective by suicide among older adults.
\nObjective 3- Utilize social media to raise awareness of suicidal among older adults.<\/p>\n
