Some common topics could include divorce, marital conflict, domestic violence, premarital counseling, parenting, juvenile delinquency, etc. Use library databases like PsychInfo, JSTOR or Web of Knowledge to find journal articles. You may also want to use Google Scholar.<\/p>\n

I typically choose articles from Family Process, Journal of Marriage & Family Therapy, Family Relations, Communication Research, Journal of Communication, etc.<\/p>\n

      2- Critical thinking means considering ways that you could apply what you have read in a family or professional setting.
