With this in mind,\u00a0first- pick a a topic that you wish to address as covered in the textbook\u2014it can be related such as homelessness, parenting styles, etc. (do not select child abuse or any form).<\/p>\n

Secondly, identify and focus on a stage of development from one of the following: infants and toddlers, early childhood, middle childhood,\u00a0or adolescence<\/p>\n

Then, thirdly review information related to family pressures\/barriers etc. as they relate to the topic that you have selected<\/p>\n

  1. Conducting Your Research:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    (a) Research that topic in the following manner: Define and explain the key components of the focus of your paper such as homelessness.\u00a0 Be detailed and specific. (Do not use the textbook as a source)<\/p>\n

    (b) Discuss the impact this issue has on an age and\/or stage of development and be very specific<\/p>\n

      1. Then research the about impact of how this issue impacts the family.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        1. Your conclusion should discuss what a teacher can do when you are teaching children that are impacted by your focus and be more aware and sensitive (be very concrete in this section.<\/li>\n
        2. How to document:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          (a)\u00a0You will use the combination of\u00a03 books and 5 journals articles that that focus of your project.<\/p>\n

          (b) It should\u00a0include:\u00a0 library and\/or internet search that focuses on topic you choose.<\/p>\n
