{"id":128578,"date":"2018-02-20T23:50:30","date_gmt":"2018-02-20T23:50:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/writemyessayfree.com\/activismoutreach-letter"},"modified":"2017-08-16T06:27:28","modified_gmt":"2017-08-16T06:27:28","slug":"activismoutreach-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.benedictsol.com\/blogs\/activismoutreach-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"Activism\/Outreach Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"the_content_wrapper\">\n<p>Write a letter to someone, making a case for something you have learned about in this class with the help of at least three sources from our class readings.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you might undertake:<br \/> \u2022 a critique of a corporation, government, or organization\u2019s practices, directed either at the organization itself or at people who are familiar with it<br \/> \u2022 a request for change in the way an institution or organization conducts itself<br \/> \u2022 a proposal for a new organization, event, class, or cultural production<br \/> \u2022 an explanation of how LGBTQ Studies changes&nbsp;the perspective previously held by a particular individual, group, or institution.<\/p>\n<p>When I grade your narrative, here is what I will be hoping to see:<br \/> \u2022 A clear and persuasive argument. You\u2019re making a case for something, not just reporting your experience in class.<br \/> \u2022 An appropriate tone for your audience. If you\u2019re writing to your grandmother, I don\u2019t expect to read the same kind of letter as I would if you were writing to the State of Maryland.<br \/> \u2022 Effective integration of examples. Quote your sources conversationally and persuasively, as you would if you were using them in an informal discussion, but include full citation details in a bibliography at the end.<br \/> \u2022 A letter that\u2019s the right length to make its case well. If you finish your letter and have not reached the required page length, use the remaining space to write a reflection explaining why you decided to write this letter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nuts and bolts:<\/strong><br \/> \u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Length: 2 pages. SINGLE-SPACED. (This is a letter).<br \/> \u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Submit your finished assignment on ELMS by 9:30 am on the last day of class, Thursday, May 11th.&nbsp;Email and paper submissions will not be accepted except by special agreement.<br \/> \u2022&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Essays must be in Word (.doc or .docx), RTF, or PDF format.
