FORMAT: your paper should be no shorter than 1500 words and no longer than 1800 words. The paper should be in Times New Romans, size 12 font, and double-spaced. You should put your name on the first page. There is no specific requirement for your reference format -whether Chicago or APA \u2013 as far as you make it consistent and clear.<\/p>\n

QUOTATION AND REFERENCE: If you have to quote somebody else, make sure you include information about the source, whether from a book, the internet, media etc. This information should be in the body of your writing following the quotation, and also at the end of your paper in a bibliography. If you quote from an interview, you should include the place where the interview took place, the date, and the name of your interviewee.<\/p>\n

Option II: \u201cInterviewing the Musical World\u201d<\/p>\n

Find a person who might be interesting to you because of their musical or cultural background. The interviewee can be anyone other than a member of this class. Prior to the interview, you will think about what you would like to focus on, and create the series of questions that you will ask. Although the interview will sometimes change the direction of your questions, it is always good to prepare what you want to ask. Follow the following structure:
Introduction- whom you interviewed, where and when the interview took place, why you chose this person, how long the interview lasted etc. Be as specific as you can.
Body- this section is to explain what your interview was about, which also connects to the reason why you chose this interviewee. Explain the questions you asked and how your interviewee answered them, and what stories, or cultural events\/musical pieces your interviewee and you talked about.
Conclusion- your analysis. What does this specific individual\u2019s story tell us in terms of the history, society, and culture to which your interviewee belongs? What insights did you gain from this interview?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
