Essentially, this follows a similar format to your Entrance Portfolio earlier this semester. As outlined in the syllabus, the Final Portfolio will consist of:
• Title Page (5 points)
• Table of Contents with Pagination (10 points)
• A letter addressed to the course instructor on “Why I Deserve to be Promoted,”
(3-4 page essayon how you have fulfilled COSK 2230 requirements) (20 points)
• Assignment 03 Corrections or Summary (5 points)
• 2-3 additional revised papers/written work (may be from this class, this semester, or previous work, totaling 8-12pp. minimum; newly-printed hardcopies) (30 points)
• Business-formatted cover letter applying for a real position in your field (15 points)
• Revised Resumé (15 points)
Total (100 points)
Title Page should identify you, the course, the instructor, and should identify the included material as your final portfolio of your best written work (title).
The project as a whole should be considered a job application with your cover letter and resumé leading the way, and your final portfolio serving as a representative sampling of your best writing. (Presumably, you are applying for a position in which effective business communication and excellent writings skills are essential; for our purposes, that is every conceivable job in your field out there.)
“Why I Deserve to be Promoted”—consult the course syllabus for the proficiencies and requirements (below) expected of all RMU students who will have successfully completed COSK 2230. Assess yourself honestly in terms of these criteria and explain how you have demonstrated these proficiencies in specific coursework assignments and projects, and through personal interactions with the instructor and fellow students throughout this semester.
See Course Objectives (from the Course Syllabus) below:
1. Read
? Use SQ3R to identify claim and reasons in research materials and reports of current events relevant to professional communications from a variety of business, scholarly, popular, and professional sources
? Define, discuss and apply key concepts relevant to professional communication
2. Write
? Evaluate, analyze and synthesize others’ ideas so as to develop and support your own argument and purposes, using course content as an analytical framework for writing
? Identify and incorporate professional communications sources (6-8) for both individually-authored and group-authored papers
? Paraphrase, summarize, and quote source material with increased accuracy and sophistication
? Provide correct attribution (in-text and reference page) for a variety of source materials (scholarly, popular, on-ground, and on-line) using APA citation format
? Adapt texts for a variety of audiences, using standard business formats, including résumés and cover letters
? Use PREP to develop well-organized speeches that integrate research and are effective, interesting, audience-oriented, professional and purposeful
? Prepare and incorporate professional and appropriate visuals (overheads, handouts, charts, objects, etc.) to enhance presentations
4. Listen
? Use HURIER to interact meaningfully with a speaker through appropriate feedback, questions, and decision-making
5. Research
? Locate source material relevant to professional communications, using on-line and data base search logic
6. Collaborate
? Interact effectively with others to analyze a shared task into its component parts, divide and perform tasks to meet group expectations, and evaluate

Assignment 03—If you wrote an individual report, address any proofreading (spelling, punctuation, and grammar) issues, and include in your final report. If you participated in a group report, it will not be practical to address such comments; instead, compose a 1-2 page synopsis of your groups’ report (Cyber Security, Airline Information, Trumpian Personality, Infrastructure), including a paragraph on your audience and recommendations, and a paragraph on your personal interactions and contribution to the group effort. Synopses should be 1-2 pp., double-spaced.
Additional Papers—You may select any paper or written work, completed in this course or any other course, or from past semesters. It must be your best work, proofread perfectly. You may submit papers that you are currently writing for other courses, even term papers (you will simply be submitting a copy of that work for your portfolio). Please print new hardcopies; not previously marked-up copies
During working sessions I-III, you may have fellow students from COSK 2230 read over such papers without fear of violating RMU academic integrity policies, as long as you personally implement and incorporate any and all comments, feedback, and suggestions yourself into your papers (i.e., that the finished product remains 100% your work). Essentially, this amounts to getting free proofreading and editorial comments for the papers you will be handing in to your other courses—a good practice or seeking feedback that is encouraged at RMU.
Cover Letter—you are responsible for seeking an actual, existing job position in your field that is available as of April 2017. You will not actually be applying for it; however, a real position will help focus your writing and shape your resumé as well. Your cover letter should stress your job qualification in vivid language (as per Frank Luntz) without hyperbole or exaggeration. See your textbooks for formatting models.
Resumé—you have an existing resumé that you have used for job and internship applications. You must hand in your most recent resumé in hardcopy on Th Apr 13; you will then revise it according to the job position for which you are applying. This will be your chance to update any new information, accolades, and experiences you have accumulated this semester, directing your focus on the specific position for which you are applying.
You may exceed the minimum requirements for the Final Portfolio with additional written material, assuming that it is of excellent quality. Please consult with the instructor.
69.

case 3

Hello,

To support your success in completing Case 3 a Worksheet format is provided which may be

used in presenting the Financial Analysis portion (part 2) of Case 3.

See the Case instructions for more info on part 1 of the case.

The case must be submitted in Word (Part 1 ) and Excel (Part 2) .

Please note handwritten documents will not be accepted):

If you use the template, you will have a total of 4 tabs.

1) Title page – For your name , assignment name, course and term

2) Ratios – For each ratio in your own words identify the use and interpret the results of each ratio

3) Summary – Summarize the results in the categories of Liquidity /Solvency and Profitability

which are discussed in Chapter 15 of your textbook and summarized on page 718

4) Bibliography – Everyone must have at least one reference citation the Bibliography tab

Final Portfolio write a summary and a paper of what i did get out of this class (3-4 page essay on how you have fulfilled COSK 2230 requirements) COSK 2230 Professional Communication| Spring2017 | Writing Assignment 04 | Final Portfolio, Read More …

["post-126589","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry
["GET
