The second and third pillars are of equal size.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Assume abutment angle of 21 degrees.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Average 4-inch coal cubes strength- 3,000 psi.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>USE ALPS software model for this design.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Make appropriate assumptions and justify them.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subsidence Related<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Size of protective pillar to protect the shaft and surrounding areas.
